On this day in 1991, 343 first responders made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives while trying to rescue victims in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. 2,996 civilians also lost their lives in this tragedy.
The terrorists attacks on 9/11 impacted thousands of lives, and each year on this day widows, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and parents will experience deep loss once again.
We ask that you take time today to remember those who lost their lives on this day. And if you have time take a plate of cookies to your local police and fire station and tell them thank you.
They serve every day missing birthdays, ball games, Thanksgiving and Christmas in order to full-fill their duty and protect you and I.
Tell them thank you and that you appreciate all they do.
